IFFS Unveils New Brand Identity Ahead of its 2016 Edition

International Furniture Fair Singapore Pte Ltd today officially unveils a new brand identity for the International Furniture Fair Singapore 2016 / 33rd ASEAN Furniture Show (IFFS/AFS). IFFS 2016 returns to the Singapore EXPO from 10 – 13 March 2016, in conjunction with The Décor Show and furniPRO Asia. The rebranding reflects the show’s continued commitment to promoting design within the furniture industry, and to forging relationships between exhibitors and buyers.

The new tagline ‘Design, Inspiration, and Trade’ represents IFFS’ mission to be the premier launch platform in Asia for the furniture industry – one that connects the people with trends and innovation, and one that inspires new ideas and fresh business opportunities. Embodying this new direction, the refreshed logo depicts connections, symbolized by diagonal and vertical planes meeting at intersections and joined by triangles that represent IFFS.

Speaking of the rebrand, Mr. Ernie Koh, Chairman of IFFS Pte Ltd, said, “Good designs stem from inspirational experiences, and a company with a winning product understandably receives positive attention. This, in turn, leads to higher chances of success from a business standpoint. The three elements in the tagline share a synergistic relationship that ultimately promotes a thriving furniture industry. Here, IFFS plays the role as the connector that links ‘design, inspiration and trade’.

New Direction, New Highlights
In line with the show’s new direction, IFFS will introduce several brand new elements to the upcoming edition that promises to create different innovative avenues for exhibitors to engage audiences and showcase their designs, as well as to provide visitors with a visually stimulating and eclectic experience.

IFFS 2016 boasts of a refreshing hall layout that presents both spatial and experiential elements that are specially crafted to enhance the tradeshow experience. On entering the Design and International Brands Hall (Hall 4), visitors will be greeted by a buzzing Piazza area with activities that celebrate design and innovation, making it an exciting place to kindle new inspiration. Visitors will also be treated to a plethora of creative product displays, including bedroom, living room, dining room, garden and outdoor furniture as well as decorative accessories, as exhibitors showcase the best of the best through various touch points.

Visitors seeking an engaging experience can also expect to be wowed by a series of innovative structural and interactive displays that are designed specially to invoke inspiration and create conversations. click here to read full article....

Boot Düsseldorf 2016: Yachts Boats Water Sports & Music

Boot Düsseldorf 2016, 47th International Boat Show Dusseldorf, at cloudy and grey Germany will welcome yacht lovers between 23rd and 31th January 2016. With the motto “360° water sports“, it will highlight all leisure pursuits that take place in on or by the water, in a form that is unique anywhere in the world. Water sports fans of all kinds – boat and yacht lovers, recreational divers, surfers, wake-boarders or anglers – will find a wide range of exhibits to interest them at boot Düsseldorf 2016. 20 themed and adventure worlds guarantee a fun event with 1700 exhibitors in 17 halls from 60 different parts of the world.

Most popular International Water Sports Event
“Boot Düsseldorf is an international trade fair event that the entire industry and its fans look forward to in January every year”, explains Goetz-Ulf Jungmichel, Director of boot Düsseldorf. “We know that the companies exhibiting focus their trade fair budgets specially on boot Düsseldorf and always make sure they present their exhibits as magnificently as possible here. At our event, visitors can inspect, examine and experience the new boat, diving equipment or wakeboard he is interested in. This helps to make the trade fair an outstanding success for the exhibitors too, because many visitors take their buying decisions directly at boot Düsseldorf. We will be able to welcome more than 1,700 exhibitors from 60 different countries in Düsseldorf and will once again have the market leaders in all sectors on board. The companies are very motivated, are in some cases booking larger presentation areas too and will be adopting a very user-oriented approach.

More than 1,700 Boats and Yachts
Boot Düsseldorf is one of the biggest boat presentation in the world, with more than 1,700 boats and yachts. Nine of the 17 halls are devoted to this subject alone and will have the entire range of water vehicles on show, from sailing yachts to motor boats and from canoes to rowing boats. Jungmichel: “The boatbuilding industry is excellently represented, with a uniquely varied selection of 440 shipyard exhibitors. In addition to the latest high-tech developments with increasingly light and environmentally sophisticated materials, exclusive and high-quality classic boats play a significant role in our exhibition concept.” The market leaders in the sailing and motor yacht field are particularly well-represented at boot Düsseldorf 2016, with their entire product range in all sizes and classes.

Exhibitors from all over the world are coming to Düsseldorf
47 per cent of the exhibitors, i.e. 800 of the boot participants, are coming from outside Germany, accounting for almost 50 per cent of the stand space too. The list of foreign exhibitors is topped traditionally by the major water sports nations, such as the Netherlands, Italy, France and Great Britain. All of the Eastern Caribbean states, which are also known as the Windward Islands, are on board for the first time, with such exotic and attractive destinations as Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Martinique, Monserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. What are also very popular with visitors are the national and joint stands, as they often reflect the typical charm of a region. In 2016, Egypt, the Azores, Belgium (Flanders), Curacao, Estonia, Finland, the Netherlands, Croatia, Turkey, Fuerteventura, the Philippines, Indonesia, Portugal, Sardinia and the Canary Islands are taking part. click here to read full article....

Winter Care for Outdoor & Patio Furniture

We are heading towards December and chill & snow will be around any time soon. It’s this changing weather and snow that causes harm to outdoor furniture if not taken care of. The long winter slumber will keep you inside and your valuable furniture that made stories during summer/ spring brunch will suffer the bitter winter months.

We wrongly have a notion that all patio furniture can stand outside in winter nights. Most furniture has to be taken care during these rough months and brought inside. The wear and tear caused by letting them stand out can cause a hole in your pocket later as well as leave your furniture looking terrible.

Patio furniture is made of different kinds of material like aluminium, wrought iron, wood, steel etc. Each material reacts differently to the cold temperatures. Therefore, the care required is also very particular to a material. Like the aluminium can stand low temperatures provided no water stands on it for long.

For all those who are lazy and the other carefree souls, I have compiled a list of do’s and don’ts with different kinds of outdoor furniture lined up in your alley. click here to read full article....
