ADRIFT BY DAVID MYERS At Singapore By Wilson Architects
Adrift by celebrity, gypsy Chef David Myers is a very unique restaurant inspired by the journeys of chef in Japan, South East Asia and California. The gourmet is replicated marvellously in the design and interiors of the restaurant by Wilson Associates. The restaurant is very modern and upbeat along with the ethnic elements added by travel photographs from Japan & Southeast Asia. The bespoke urban enclave so wonderfully created in the massive atrium of Marina Bay Sands is another feather in their cap.
COASTAL PRIVATE CLUB At Wuxi By One Plus Partnership (Hong Kong) Ltd.
Known for its ‘out of the box’ approach, Hong Kong based design and architecture firm One Plus Partnership, executed a very different space at Wuxi, China. The Coastal Private Club has many hidden waveform messages. The rough sea is depicted with metal walls cut in waveforms. Speed of wind and directions are brought to life with varying stripe patterns on the carpets. Indeed, a very unusual and gorgeous space creation.
MECHA UMA At Taguig City By Yorge Yulo Architects & Associates
Mecha Uma is a passion project of Manila’s rising chef talent, Bruce Ricketts and Yorge Yulo of Philippines has executed this boutique restaurant with the same fervour. The name Mecha Uma is an abbreviation of a Japanese expression, mechakucha and umai meaning absurd, unreasonably delicious, and a good mess. The small restaurant has the warmth of Chef’s love for great food.
NEW ROCK WORLD KTV At Xi’an By Inspiration Group
Inspiration Studio founded in 2002 is a multi design studio specialized in interior design. It is committed to the design research and development on the leisure, holiday, entertainment, spa spaces and so on.
At New Rock World, Xi’an, China, a deconstructive approach was used to bring natural sceneries into the space, which reflects the designer’s philosophy of “Everything comes from nature”. The combination of irregular forms presents rich textures, and the tension in the architectural space gives a strong impression upon every visitor. The lighting mainly comes out from the inside to highlight the façade and attract the attention of the passers-by. Indeed a stunning job.
VIVARIUM At Bangkok By Hypothesis
Set in a decommissioned warehouse, this vibrant restraint in Bangkok serves Thai and Japanese cuisine.
Interior design firm Hypothesis 30 executed this project to give its ‘life’ dimension, present in the name too.
The interiors are wild, with fresh plants, ceramic butterflies, and all kinds of items seemingly growing everywhere in different ways, as in an old warehouse. Thai Architects, Hypothesis 30, made use of the warehouse’s height and space to formulate a literal “green” design. click here to read full article....
